136 - The Temple furnishings

Psalm 128: 1-6
How happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways!
You will  surely eat what your hands have worked for, You will be happy, and it will grow well for you. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house, your sons, like your olive trees around your table. In this very way the ma who fears the Lord will be blessed. May the Lord bless you from Zion, so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life, and will see your Children's children! Peace be with Israel.

1 Kings 7: 1-50
2 Chronicles 3: 15-17, 4: 1-22

It took Solomon 7 years to complete the temple and with the fine furnishings that was placed in this temple and the precious stones, gold, silver, bronze and embroidered linen. I try to imagine the beauty of this Holy place it must have breath takingly beautiful and then to feel the presence of God, how awesome is that! I tried to picture the reservoir which held 11,000 gallons of water with oxen as it's feet and being 45ft in diameter. Just reading these chapters is mind boggling.

I will leave this verse from Ephesians 5: 25-26 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word.
