Hosea 10: 9-15 The Lord pronounces judgment 12 Sow righteousness for yourselves and reap faithful love; break up your untilled ground. It is time to see the Lord until He comes and sends righteousness on you like the rain.

Hosea 11: 1-11 God's love...9...For I am God and not man, the Holy One among you; I will not come in rage. They will follow the Lord; He will roar like a lion. When He roars, His children will come trembling from the west. They will be roused like birds from Egypt and like doves from the land of Assyria. THen I will settle them in their homes. This is the Lord's declaration.

Idol worship sure is a curse and yet people just don't seem to get it especially here in this reading. Today we have the exact same issue around the world. What is it that they saw in a piece of stone? What makes one want to worship something that is not going to answer you and yet most of them knew the truth that God is Yahweh. The moment things go wrong for anyone the first thing is to shout to "Oh God help me"
We truly need to keep our eyes focused on the cross today, life is full of nasty issues and entrapments everywhere we turn there is something there that is a snare.
